UFC 310 is fast approaching, and it is one of the most stacked UFC cards in recent memory. As such, I will be making two separate posts for my picks. This post will be for the main cards slate of fights, and the second post will be for the prelims and early prelims.
We will start from the top down, which means we will discuss the flyweight championship bout between Alexandre Pantoja and Kai Asukara. This fight likely hinges on whether Asakura can keep the fight standing and avoid Pantoja's grappling, or if Pantoja can close the distance, control the fight with his grappling, and potentially get a submission. Given Pantojas breadth of experience against the toughest fighters this division has to offer, I am gonna go with him as the slight favorite at -260. The next fight, Shavkat Rakhmonov vs Ian Garry, is a much easier pick. Rakhmonov has everyone in the welterweight division running scared for good reason, and I believe his success will continue against a talented up & comer in Ian Garry. Next up is Ciryl Gane vs Alexander Volkov. This fight has the potential to be a striking showcase, and with Gane likely having the edge in terms of movement, speed, and versatility it is clear to see why he is favored at -370. However, I think with Volkovs power and reach he has the chance to pull off the upset in this one. The final two fights on the main card I would go with Bryce Mitchell and Nate Landwehr. Thank you for reading, and make sure to check out my analysis of the prelim fights as well!
